Middleton Murder- Suicide Investigation: After shooting and killing her children on Sunday night, a woman then turned the pistol on herself, according to a press statement issued by the Middleton Police Department. Within an apartment on Maywood Avenue, a woman who was 34 years old was said to have used a firearm to shoot members of her family, before killing herself, according to the release. Law enforcement agencies say a woman named Jessica Jessmon, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin died from suicide after shooting killing her two children. The deadly incident happened inside their home in Maywood Avenue.
What Happened on Maywood Avenue?
Following the announcement made by Middleton police Captain Tyler Loether that three individuals had been discovered dead and another individual had been shot multiple times in an apartment complex located on the 6300 block of Maywood Avenue on Sunday evening, the report has been released. “A 31-year-old male was struck by gunfire multiple times as he exited the residence,” according to Loether. “Two children, an 8-year-old female and a 5-year-old male, were struck and killed by gunfire.” According to him, the woman, who was the mother of the children, finally decided to take her own life by turning the gun on herself.
Police Statement
According to Loether, the man, who is the father of the children, is still being treated at the hospital but is no longer in the intensive care unit. “Domestic violence has no place in our community,” stated Loether when addressing the issue. “The Middleton Police Department remains committed to thoroughly investigating domestic violence incidents and enforcing the law to the fullest extent.”
History of Domestic Violence in The Family
Family and friends of Jessica has alleged that her partner and father of the children has not been supportive in caring for the kids. Jessica who often took to her social media pages, told her friends that her babies daddy had never contributed to the upkeep of the children. In some of her publications, Jessica alleged that the male was never involved in the children’s life. According to a friend of the deceased woman, Jessica had struggled all her life since she gave birth to her children. Her partner never supported in anyway. Jessica had to keep multiple jobs at a time just to carter for the children’s needs. The male is currently hospitalised and expected to survive from his injuries.

Law enforcement agencies are continuing to investigate the tragic event and has urged anyone with information to them. The identity of the children were not released due to their ages. According to a family member, the children were students of an elementary school in the area.
