Summerhill, Atlanta – The shooting that took place in the Summerhill neighbourhood of Atlanta on Monday morning resulted in the death of one man and the injury of another, as reported by the police. It was near the intersection of Hank Aaron Drive and Ormond Street where the fatal shooting took place. The Fulton County Medical Examiner determined that the deceased individual was Dajuan Jackson, who was 46 years old. According to the Atlanta Police Department, another individual sustained injuries and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.
At the time when 11Alive crews arrived, Demetrius Lester, Jackson’s brother, was already present at the site. The news that his brother had been shot left him in a state of complete and utter devastation. “My brother is a kind and generous person. The family that we came from is a good one,” Lester stated. “He is the type of person if someone is hungry or need to borrow some money, he will come out of his pocket and give them his last.” A stepson, a sister, and a brother are the people that Jackson leaves behind. According to the police, they have not disclosed any information regarding any suspects or any details that led up to the incident.
