Joshua Patrick Death – On Thursday, February 22, tragedy hit Duplin County, North Carolina, when a Duplin County Sheriff’s Office officer was killed in a vehicle crash while responding to a report. The tragedy happened at the intersection of Cornwallis Road and Betholite Road at 8:00 p.m., casting a pall over the community. According to reports, the deputy was summoned to the same residence earlier that evening, around 4:45 p.m., in response to a domestic quarrel. However, as fate would have it, conditions changed dramatically during the subsequent call, resulting in the deadly crash.
