During February, we also take the time to honor the contributions of Black Americans, including members of our staff who have made significant contributions to improving the lives of people living with low vision and blindness. Our Black Americans Senior Support group, under the dedicated leadership of staff member Deb Pendleton, continues to thrive, providing essential resources and support to our community members.
Low Vision Awareness Month Partnership
February is also Low Vision Awareness Month, and we are excited to announce a new partnership with the Community Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Stockton. This collaboration will enable us to expand our low-vision clinic services to individuals in the Stockton-Modesto area, ensuring that more people have access to the support and resources they need to thrive. Michelle’s spirit of innovation and collaboration lives on through initiatives like this, which aim to empower individuals living with low vision and blindness.
